In case you are wondering (and legitimately so) what qualifies me to speculate about present and future happenings as a recipient of an Honorary Doctor of Sacred Theology (S.T.D.) degree from the American Bible Institute a while back, having attended the Lutheran Bible Institute's Golden Valley Lutheran College, being a vital part of Mount Carmel Bible Camp of Alexandria Minnesota in the past, plus the son of a devout and relatively-orthodox Lutheran minister (being significantly tutored thereof), grandson of a devout and relatively-orthodox Covenant minister (being tutored thereof), and son-in-law of a devout and relatively-orthodox Baptist chaplain; having heard countless sermons, sung countless hymns, and having done some extensive private independent study in various aspects of Hebrew and Greek Scriptural-Text wording, rest assured that I am well versed in RSV and other Bible translations, and largely base my forthcoming assessments and predictions upon what the Holy Spirit has conveyed to me in light of God's Holy Word. Keep in mind that my insight is limited because of my rather massive history of faithlessly caving to mild partial sexual immorality and especially siginificant porno-indulgence impurity.

A few Scripture verses form a basis for an overview of this essay. Lamentably, the New Testament quotations are from the Revised Standard Version (RSV) which I was brought up with and used to, based on the largely-corrupt Westcott-Hort Greek Text instead of the inerrant Scrivener Trinitarian Greek Text, the latter being significantly concordant with the King James type New-Testament English translations (e.g. the KJV, KJ21, NKJV, MKJV, LIT, etc.).

Acts 1:1 In the first book, Theophilus, I have dealt with all that Jesus began to do and teach,
2 until the day when He was taken up, after He had given commandment through the Holy Spirit to the apostles whom He had chosen.
3 To them He presented Himself alive after His passion by many proofs, appearing to them during forty days, and speaking of the kingdom of God.
4 And while staying with them He charged them to not leave Jerusalem, but to wait for the promise of the Father, which, He said: "you heard from me,
5 for John baptized with water, but before many days you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit."
6 So when they had come together, they asked Him: "Lord, will you at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?"
7 He said to them: "It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has fixed by His own authority.
8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria (notice that the antisemitic word: "palestine" is not used!) and to the end of the Earth."
9 And when He had said this, as they were looking on, He was lifted up (so much for being bound by gravity!), and a cloud took Him out of their sight.
10 And while they were gazing into heaven as He went, hey, two "men" stood by them in white robes,
11 and said: "Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into heaven? This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw Him go into heaven."

Romans 11:25 Lest you be wise in your own conceits, I want you to understand this mystery, friends: a hardening has come upon part of Israel, until the full number of the Gentiles come in,
26 and so all Israel will be saved; as it is written: "The Deliverer will come from Zion, He will banish ungodliness from Jacob";
27 and this will be my covenant with them when I take away their sins."

Hebrews 9:28 [KJ21] so Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and to those who look for Him shall He appear the second time without sin, for salvation.

Galatians 3:13 Christ redeemed us from the curse of [penalties imposed by] the Law, having become a curse for us, for it is written: "Cursed be everyone who hangs on a tree."

Hebrews 9:28 [RSV] so Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin but to save those who are eagerly waiting for him.

Notice the rationale for the slight but crucial words difference between the KJ21 and RSV in view of the inclusion of Galations 3:13.

WAS Jesus a sinner? Sins were imputed to Him, but He Himself was completely sinless, thus qualified to be resurrected from the dead, and taken up by bodily ascension into Heaven..

John 8:46 Which of you convicts me of sin? If I tell the truth, why do you not believe me?
Hebrews 4:15 For we have not a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin.
Hebrews 7:26 For it was fitting that we should have such a High Priest, holy, blameless, unstained, separated from sinners, exalted above the heavens.
First Peter 2:22 He committed no sin; no deceit was found on His lips.

Getting back to the topic, we all must understand that "the Day of the Lord" (according to the Bible) consists of two separate events separated by at least one thousand years.

Second Peter 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will pass away with a loud noise, and the elements will be dissolved with fire, and the Earth and the works that are upon it will be annihilated.
11 Being that all these things are thus to be dissolved, what sort of persons ought you to be in lives of holiness and godliness,
12 waiting for and expediting the coming of the Day of God, because of which the heavens will be dissolved in fiery destruction, and the elements will disintegrate in fire.
13 But according to His promise we wait for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness resides.

Revelation 20:11 Then I saw a Great White Throne and Him who sat upon it; from His presence Earth and sky fled away, and no place was found for them.
12 And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Also another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged by what was written in the books, by what they had done.
13 And the sea gave up the dead in it, Death and Hades gave up the dead in them, and all were judged by what they had done.

Revelation 21:1 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more.
2 And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband;
3 and I heard a loud voice from the throne saying: "Hey, the dwelling of God is with humans. He will reside with them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself will be with them;
4 He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning nor crying nor pain any more, for the former things have passed away."
5 And He who sat upon the Throne said: "See and consider, I make all things new." Also He said: "Write this, for these words are trustworthy and true."

Note that this final "Day of the Lord" will be when the wicked are also resurrected to face the Divine King mentioned in Matthew chapter 25 who will judge everyone according to their humanitarian acts, or lack of them. The wicked will not be resurrected at the first manifestation of "the Day of the Lord" occurring before the Millennium.

Acts 1: 11 . . . "Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into heaven? This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven."

Luke 21:27 And then they will see the Son of Man coming in a Cloud with power and great glory.

Zechariah 14:4 On that day His feet shall stand on the Mount of Olives which lies before Jerusalem on the east; and the Mount of Olives shall be split in two from east to west by a very wide valley; so that one half of the Mount shall withdraw northward, and the other half southward.

Second Thessalonians 2:1 Now regarding the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our assembling to meet Him, we beg you, friends,
2 to not be quickly shaken in mind or excited, either by spirit or by word, or by letter purporting to be from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has come.
2 [KJ21] that ye be not soon shaken in mind or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as if from us that the Day of Christ is at hand.
3 Let no one deceive you in any way; for that Day will not come, unless the rebellion comes first, and the Man of Lawlessness is revealed, the Son of Perdition,
4 who opposes and exalts himself against every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God.
5 Do you not remember that when I was still with you I told you this?
6 And you know what is restraining him now so that he may be revealed in his time.
7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains it will do so until He is out of the way.
8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, and the Lord Jesus will slay him with the breath of Hhis mouth and destroy him by His appearing and His coming.

Revelation 19:11 Then I saw heaven opened, and hey, a white horse! He who sat upon it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war.
12 His eyes are like a flame of fire, and on His head are many diadems; and He has a name inscribed which no one knows but Himself.
13 He is clad in a robe dipped in blood, and the name by which He is called is: The Word of God.
14 And the Armies of Heaven, arrayed in fine linen, white and pure, followed Him on White Horses.
15 From His mouth issues a Sharp Sword with which to smite the nations, and He will rule them with a "rod of iron"; He will "tread the wine press" of the fury of the wrath of God the Almighty.
16 On His robe and on His thigh He has a name inscribed: King of kings and Lord of lords.
17 Then I saw an angel standing in the Sun, and with a loud voice he called to all the birds that fly in midheaven: "Come, gather for the great supper of God,
18 to eat the flesh of kings, the flesh of captains, the flesh of mighty men, the flesh of horses and their riders, and the flesh of all person, both free and slave, both small and great."
19 And I saw the Beast and the kings of the Earth with their armies gathered to make war against Him who sits upon the Horse and against his Army.
20 And the Beast was captured, and with him the False Prophet who in his presence had worked the signs by which he deceived those who had received the Mark of the Beast and those who worshiped his [Super-Robot?] Image. These two were thrown alive into the Lake of Fire that burns with Brimstone.
21 And the remainder were slain by the [conquering] sword of Him who sits upon the horse, the [conquering] sword that issues from His mouth; and all the birds were gorged with their flesh.

So, there we have the background for the two separate manifestations of "the Day of the Lord" or "the Day of God" and thus we, in essence, know of not merely a "Second Coming" of Christ, but also a "Third Coming" so to speak after the Millennium happening simultaneously with all contents in the entire Universe dissolving in fervent heat. It is at that moment that a Rapture of living saints will occur, including at least those resurrected from being decapitated before Christ returns at his Second Coming:

Revelation 20:1 Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, holding in his hand the key of the "bottomless pit" and a great chain.
2 And he seized the Dragon, that Ancient Serpent, who is the Devil and Satan [Lucifer], and bound him for a thousand years,
3 and threw him into "the pit," and shut it and sealed it over him, that he deceive the nations no more, until the thousand years were ended. After that he must be loosed for a little while.
4 Then I saw thrones, and seated on them were those to whom judgment was committed. Also I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their testimony to Jesus and for the word of God, and who had not worshiped the Beast nor his Image and had not received his [embedded-666-tattoo?] Mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life, and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
5 The remainder of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended. This is the First Resurrection.
6 Blessed and holy [are they] who shares in the First Resurrection! Over such the Second Death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and they shall reign with Him for a thousand years.
7 And when the thousand years are ended, Satan will be loosed from his prison
8 and will come out to deceive the nations which are at the four corners of the earth, that is, Gog and Magog, to gather them for battle; their number is like the sand of the sea.
9 And they marched up over the broad earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the Beloved City; but fire came down from heaven and consumed them,
10 and the Devil who had deceived them was thrown into the Lake of Fire and Brimstone where the Beast and the False Prophet were, and they will be tormented to the ages of the ages.

Isaiah 11:7 The cow and the bear shall feed; their young shall lie down together; and the lion shall eat straw like the ox.
8 The sucking child shall play over the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the adder's den.
9 They shall not hurt or destroy in all my holy mountain; for the Earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD as the waters cover the sea.
10 In that day the root of Jesse shall stand as an ensign to the peoples; Him shall the nations seek, and His dwellings shall be glorious.

Isaiah 65:25 "The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, the lion shall eat straw like the ox; and dust shall be the serpent's food. They shall not hurt or destroy in all my holy mountain," says the LORD.

Hosea 2:18 And I will make for you a covenant on that day with the beasts of the field, the birds of the air, and the creeping things of the ground; and I will abolish the bow, the sword, and war from the land; and I will make you lie down in safety.
Zephaniah 2:7 The seacoast shall become the possession of the remnant of the house of Judah, on which they shall pasture, and in the houses of Ashkelon they shall lie down at evening. For the LORD their God will be mindful of them and restore their fortunes.
Zephaniah 3:13 those who are left in Israel: they shall do no wrong and utter no lies, nor shall there be found in their mouth a deceitful tongue. For they shall pasture and lie down, and none shall make them afraid.

Matthew 19:28 Jesus said to them: "Truthfully I say to you, in the new world, when the Son of Man shall sit on His glorious throne, you who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
Luke 22:30 that you may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

Psalm 2:9 You shall break them with a rod of iron, and dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.
Revelation 2:27 and He shall rule them with a rod of iron, as when earthen pots are broken in pieces, even as I myself have received power from my Father
Revelation 12:5 she brought forth a [penis-endowed-at-birth] male (not female nor transsexual nor transgender) Child, one who is to rule all the nations with a rod of iron, but her Child was caught up to God and to His throne,
Revelation 19:15 From His (not Her) mouth issues a sharp sword with which to smite the nations, and He (not She) will rule them with a rod of iron; He (ditto) will tread the wine press of the fury of the wrath of God the Almighty.

It is possible that the following Bible verses apply to both the Second and Third Epiphany of "the Day of the Lord," although the physical details of such physically-relocative transport (from sundry locations on plaent Earth) are somewhat of a mystery to me. It is, of course, both logical and easier to imagine Raptured transport in the post-Millennial and not pre-Millennial [fiery-disintegrating] air from all geographical places on planet Earth, occurring in the near-instantaneous extremely-brief time-frame duration of "the twinkling of an eye."

With reference to "rapture:"

Acts 8:39 And when they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught up Philip; and the eunuch saw him no more, and went on his way rejoicing.
Second Corinthians 12:2 I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago was caught up to the third heaven - whether in the body or out of the body I do not know, God knows.
Second Corinthians 12:3 And I know that this man was caught up into Paradise - whether in the body or out of the body I do not know, God knows -
First Thessalonians 4:17 then we who are alive, who are left, shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air; and so we shall always be with the Lord.

Revelation 11: 3 And I will grant my Two Witnesses power to prophesy for one thousand two hundred and sixty days, clothed in sackcloth [gunny-sack underwear].
4 These are the two olive trees and the two lampstands which stand before the Lord of the Earth.
5 And if any one would harm them, fire pours out from their mouth and consumes their foes; if any one would harm them, thus they are doomed to be killed.
6 They have power to shut the sky, that no rain may fall during the days of their prophesying, and they have power over the waters to turn them into blood, and to smite the Earth with every plague, as often as they desire.
7 And when they have finished their testimony, the Beast that ascends from the [Abyss] will make war upon them and conquer them and kill them,
8 and their dead bodies will lie in the street of the great city which is allegorically called Sodom and Egypt, where their Lord was crucified.
9 For three days and a half humans from the peoples and tribes and tongues and nations gaze at their dead bodies and refuse to let them be placed in a tomb,
10 and those who reside on the Earth will rejoice over them and make merry and exchange presents, because these Two Prophets had been a torment to those who dwell on the Earth.
11 But after the three and a half days a breath of life from God entered them, and they stood up on their feet, and great fear fell on those who saw them.
12 Then they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them: "Come up here!" And in the sight of their foes they went up (i.e. were raptured) to Heaven in a Cloud.

First Corinthians 15:51 Wow, I tell a mystery: We shall not all "sleep," (temporarily and/or in death) but we shall all be changed,
52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the Last trumpet. For the Trumpet will sound, and the dead (both righteous and wicked) will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed.
53 For this perishable nature must put on the imperishable, and this mortal nature must put on immortality.

Second Thessalonians 1:9 They (the damned wicked) shall suffer the punishment of eternal destruction and exclusion [away] from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His might . . .

Matthew 24:29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days the Sun will be darkened, and the Moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken;
30 then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in Heaven, and then all the tribes of the Earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the Clouds of Heaven with power and great glory;
31 and He will send out His angels with a loud Trumpet Call, and they will gather His elect from the four winds [south, west, north, and east], from one end of heaven to the other.

Mark 13:24 But in those days, after that (Great) Tribulation, the Sun will be darkened, and the Moon will not give its light,
25 and the stars will be falling from heaven, and the powers in the heavens will be shaken.
26 And then they will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory.
27 And then He will send out the angels, and gather His elect from the four winds, from the ends of the Earth to the ends of heaven.

There have been some very weird weather-and-clouds-related events observed in the past, but what - from an astrophysics point of view - would cause the Sun and Moon to be darkened, and especially "stars falling from heaven" is also perplexing as to what would cause such to occur, and how that would be studied as to application of celestial mechanics in outer space and astronomical placement of orbital intersteller objects with interactive gravitational fields.

Also, it is not clear if the "shortening of days" in the Bible verses below applies to both the pre-Millennial Coming and the post-Millennial Coming:

Matthew 24:22 And if those days had not been shortened, no human being would be saved; but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened.
Mark 13:20 And if the Lord had not shortened the days, no human being would be saved; but for the sake of the elect, whom He chose, He shortened the days.

Does "shortening the days" mean truncation of a 24-hour-period day, or instead group of days?

Also, it is possibly logical that the following "Sun is to be darkened" and "moon not giving its light" and "stars falling from heaven" verses apply only to the pre-Millennial return of Christ at Armageddon, because at the post-Millennial coming of Christ the King (in trinitarian unity with the Father and Spirit) there will be no Sun nor Moon nor stars whatsoever to be darkened or fall from heaven, being that they will at that time be catastrophically anniliated in fervent heat ast described in Second Peter chapter three.

Thus, with Satan removed and bound into the Abyss (i.e. so-called "bottomless pit") for 1000 years, will his demons be scattered, disorganized, or even confined themselves to the Abyss? What will the effect on humanity in general be upon the Earth, when such is so, and Christ with his sacred associates are in full authority over every country and government on the planet?

1. First off, it will be similar to when Ronald Reagan, George Bush, and especially Donald Trump took over the Presidency, compared to demoncrats Carter, Clinton, and Obamanation.

2. Elena Kagan, Sonja Sotomayor, and Ruth Bader Ginsburg impeached off the Supreme Court, and replaced by more like Gorsuch and Kavanaugh, with Roberts no longer under pressure to cave in to such deviant feminists.

3. Planned Parentlessness, the Antagonistic Criminal Liberties Union, the Southern Poverty Lawlessness Center, the Freedom from Religion Foundation, People against the American Way, Human Rites for Homosexuals, Freedom to Marry Homoperverts, National Organization against Women, etc. not only losing their tax exemption and all government funding, but sued and illegalized into oblivion, with abortion illegalized nationwide.

4. The District, Appellate, and Supreme courts defining non-born womb babes as human persons protected against abortion-homicide murder.

5. The lower and Supreme courts illegalizing so-called "same-sex marriage" (which is actually same-gender homosodomy unions).

6. Stopping rockets from Hamas coming into Israel, and punishing Middle Easterners who advocate death and destruction against Israel.

7. Control of the United Nations and all aspects of it by parents-protecting anti-abortion pro-Israel Christians.

8. Removing from exercising authority over males all female politicians, legislators, judges, bankers, corp execs, military, and law enforcement officers.

9. Having tenured and other anti-evolution creationist professors lecture in public schools, colleges, and universities.

10. In schools and by mail public-service announcements educate everyone and enforce strict regulations (especially for warm-weather modesty) of non-seductive/non-pornographic attire for all girls and women nationwide, pertaining to decent non-mopheaded hairstyles (i.e. up-do chignons or single back-of-head ponytail, or hijab-type shawls), consistent year-around full-length armwear and full-length legwear and non-socksless non-toes-exposing (non open-toe) footwear.

11. Porn in print and on the internet illegalized with consistent and thorough enforcement.

12. Severe consistent physical punishment against shoplifters and against boom-boom-rap noise and graffiti defacers, polluters, and harassers.

13. No longer giving economic breaks to arrogant niggars because of their skin color.

14. GPS/satellite-assisted fines mailed to tailgaters and speeders.

15. No plea bargaining nor parole. Execution instead of lengthy or short incarceration against those deserving it.
